I loathe going to Best Buy but because my Aunt needed a laptop, I went with her to pick one out. After explaining the specs and blah blah blah about a couple the laptops, all that was left to do was to wait for one of the douche bag salesmen to come get the box out of the back room. I saw a bunch of these dudes standing around giving me dirty looks but no one was coming by to help.
Finally one guy comes and I tried to stay quiet and polite for as long as I could but damn. If anyone ever needed a punch in the throat, it was this guy. The dialogue went pretty much like this:
Aunt: Do you have this one in stock?
Douchebag: Yes but first why do you want to buy this one?
Aunt: Umm it’s a good size and it seems to have everything I need.
Douchebag: But I mean why is it that you like this one?
Aunt: I hear Dell is a good brand and its the right price.
Douchebag: Did you know that these laptops come with almost nothing but you can upgrade to Office and have us install anti-virus?
Me: That’s ok, I can do all of that.
Douchebag: What are your other reasons for wanting this particular laptop?
Me: Because I recommended it.
Douchebag: (Ignores me) Have you seen the other laptops we carry?
Aunt: Yes but I’d like this one, can you go get it for me.
The guy comes back
Douchebag: Sorry we actually ran out but these other locations have it or we should be getting some in about 2 weeks. We also have a nice HP and blah blah blah
Me: Wow, thanks for nothing. Let’s go.
