I’ve been a fan of the Tekken series since the game first came out for the Playstation. When I heard that a Tekken movie was coming out, naturally I cringed. Everyone knows most games that are made into movies end up being a hour and a half of bad acting, predictable story lines and more bad acting. This movie looks like it’s good enough to be released in theaters as opposed to being a straight to DVD release. Trailer can be seen here:

I do have some issues with the casting. For one, Cung Le is definitely a bad ass but he doesn’t quite have that Marshall Law/Bruce Lee look. Stephen Chow would have been a much better choice. I also think John Foo, the guy who plays Jin Kazama doesn’t quite have the look either. John Foo looks way too “nice” and Jin Kazama in the game is straight evil. So evil, he turns into a devil.
