Hip Hop/Rap legend Keith “Guru” Elam, founder of the group Gang Starr, recently passed away on April 19, 2010 at age 43.
As fans of his music and of the Gang Starr legacy, we decided to create this Tribute mixtape, using samples from the seventies era mixed with some of his best vocals as one of the best mcees in the rap game.
This project includes original remixes with instrumental tracks produced by Kobé Beats specially for the occasion, freestyles, hits and unreleased. We tried to fit the best to the Gang Starr Foundation and Jazzmatazz Sound that Guru created, using samples from the seventies era with musical vibes such as Jazz or Funk.

This mixtape features guest appearences by Nice & Smooth, Doo Wop, Boi Big, Sticky Fingaz, Big Shug, Freddie Foxx, Immam Thug, Nore, Capone (CNN), The Diaz Brothers (Kid Cudi & Tony Touch), and of course DJ Premier.
